Essential Job Functions:
- Provide hands-on Tier-2 production support for Cloudera environments.
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of CDP.
- Enable and maintain security requirements for CDP environments.
- Optimize cluster performance and troubleshoot performance-related issues.
- Work with data engineers to optimize Spark job performance.
- Troubleshoot Spark, Hive, and YARN jobs.
- Support CDP containerization with Data Services.
- Implement observability across Cloudera environments.
- Automate data and analytics jobs and CI/CD processes.
- Develop automated pipelines and workflows for data projects.
- Automate security and regulatory checks.
- Implement automated patching processes.
- Support containerization and container management activities.
- Follow Agile engineering practices and processes.

Technical Skills
- Cloudera: CDP 7.1.9 or latest version, Cloudera Data Services 1.5.4 / 1.5.5
- Big Data: Spark, Hive, YARN
- Automation: Shell, Terraform, Groovy, Ansible
- CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD
- Programming: Python preferred
- Containerization: Podman, Docker, OCP
- Container Management: Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Operating System: Linux
- Networking: Linux and networking basics
- Source Control: Git
- Observability: Cluster and application monitoring
- Security: CDP security, security automation, regulatory checks
- Engineering Practices: Agile engineering and practices
