Position Summary:
- This role works closely with infrastructure engineers, operations teams, project teams, compliance stakeholders, business partners, and leadership.
- The successful candidate must be capable of translating business and operational requirements into technical solutions, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and functioning effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- The Windows Server Team consists of approximately twenty infrastructure professionals responsible for engineering, administration, automation, security, compliance, and support of more than 2,000 Windows-based servers supporting critical business services across the enterprise.
- The team is actively engaged in platform modernization initiatives including Windows Server lifecycle management, automation, compliance remediation, operational efficiency efforts, disaster recovery preparedness, infrastructure transformation, cloud enablement activities, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- The team currently includes an established development function responsible for internally developed applications, automation solutions, workflow integrations, operational tooling, and process improvements supporting both Windows Server operations and related infrastructure services.
- Existing development resources include senior and junior developers, and this position will expand the team's development capacity while strengthening resiliency, knowledge continuity, and long-term supportability of critical solutions.
- This role provides an opportunity to work directly with experienced infrastructure engineers and developers while delivering solutions that have measurable impact on enterprise operations, automation maturity, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- TheDeveloper III will design, develop, maintain, and enhance internally developed applications and automation solutions supporting enterprise Windows Server operations.
- Responsibilities include building and modifying web applications, integrating systems through APIs, creating and maintaining SQL database objects, troubleshooting application issues, and partnering with infrastructure engineers to automate operational processes.
- The individual will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and ongoing support.
- This role will support workflow automation and integration efforts involving ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms used to manage incidents, changes, vulnerabilities, compliance activities, asset lifecycle processes, and operational work management.
- The successful candidate will regularly collaborate with server engineers, project teams, compliance stakeholders, and operational leadership to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced service delivery.
- 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree;
- OR 4 years of job-related work experience;
- OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.
