Job Description Summary

As a member of the Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) team, you will be an active contributor to the Gas Turbine Engineering (GTE) organization, providing design engineering support to our global supply chain partners. Our team is essential for maintaining high technical rigor to ensure quality of the product is maintained, while working with a sense of urgency to drive customer fulfillment.

The DLE Lead Mechanical Engineer, on the Mission-Based Quality Team, will be dedicated to the qualification support of Combustion components. Working alongside manufacturing and quality, they will be responsible for the engineering definition and execution of robust qualifications, with technical rigor, quality and attention to detail to ensure our qualified Global Supply Chain can consistently manufacture conforming parts, delivering timely and optimal solutions for our customers. There is an on-going focus on lean and cost-effective manufacturing qualification strategies across both internal factories and external suppliers, dispositioning unqualified hardware (NCNs and SDRs), and applying lean principals to drive innovation and productivity – propelling us toward a zero-defect culture. This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration across the engineering teams, suppliers, factories, quality and sourcing to ensure hardware quality and fulfillment. All to solve some of the biggest challenges we face in manufacturing these complex gas turbine components and assemblies.
