Design Lead – Java

Job Description:
We are looking for an experiencedDesign Lead – Java to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inJava-based system design,multithreading, andmicroservices architecture, along with experience inpayment or card processing domains. This role requires a technical leader who can design scalable, high-performance applications and guide development teams in building robust enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead thedesign and architecture of enterprise-grade applications usingJava and microservices architecture.

· Design and develophigh-performance, multithreaded systems for large-scale distributed environments.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliverscalable and resilient solutions.

· Provide technical leadership, best practices, and architectural guidance to development teams.

· Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define system requirements and technical strategies.

· Ensure applications are designed withperformance, security, and scalability in mind.

· Participate incode reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning.

· Work with systems related tocard processing, payment platforms, or financial transaction systems.

Required Skills:

· Strong experience inJava development and system design.

· Experience withmultithreading and concurrency in high-performance systems.

· Expertise inmicroservices architecture and distributed systems.

· Experience inC++ development is a plus.

· Experience inpayment processing, cards, or financial transaction systems is highly preferred.

· Strong problem-solving and architectural design skills.

· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working inhigh-volume transactional systems.

· Prior experience infinancial services or payment platforms.

· Familiarity withmodern DevOps practices and cloud environments.
