This role emphasizes a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and collaboration with the design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help research seasonal trends, color, prints, silhouettes, fabrics, and competitive brands.
  • Support the creation of mood boards, color stories, print inspiration, and design presentations.
  • Organize incoming samples, fabrics, trims, strike-offs, and other design materials.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital design libraries, including artwork, inspiration, and sample files.
  • Assist with preparing design decks, line sheets, and internal presentations.
  • Help organize and update design files in Dropbox, Excel trackers, and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Support the team with sending and receiving packages, including samples and materials for domestic and international vendors.
  • Participate in design meetings and assist with additional projects as needed throughout the product-development process.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain real-world experience within a fashion design team and learn how a collection evolves from initial inspiration through final product.
  • Develop a stronger understanding of print, color, fabric, silhouette, and seasonal storytelling in the Roller Rabbit brand aesthetic.
  • Build proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Dropbox, and other tools used to organize and communicate design information.
  • Learn about the relationship between design, merchandising, production, and global vendor partners.
  • Strengthen creative thinking, visual communication, organization, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Be

  • Creative, curious, and excited by fashion, print, color, and design.
  • Positive, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A clear communicator and collaborative team player.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related creative field is preferred, but not required.
