Summary
Design Engineers contribute to the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. Design Engineers work collaboratively with project teams, applying engineering principles to deliver high-quality solutions. They are expected to grow in their ability to manage tasks, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the firm's technical excellence.
Essential Functions: include the following.
- Lead design efforts and oversee junior engineers.
- Independent decision making
- Communicate regularly with clients and vendors outside the office
- Participate in presentations such as public meetings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of design experience
- Advanced design leadership
- Professional Engineering (PE) Registration preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in software such as CADD Based programs and systems, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
