Demand Planner (OE)

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Demand Planner to develop, monitor, and manage seasonal and long-range demand plans across a diverse product portfolio. This role will leverage statistical analysis, historical trends, and market insights to drive fact-based decision-making and support revenue growth, inventory optimization, and supply chain efficiency.

The Demand Planner will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to establish consensus demand plans that support critical business objectives. This position is ideal for an analytical professional who enjoys translating data into actionable insights while partnering with stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy, inventory management, and overall business performance.

What You'll Do

• Develop and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and demand plans by SKU, product line, and distribution channel.
• Analyze market trends, customer demand patterns, and business performance to provide strategic recommendations.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to develop consensus demand plans.
• Support inventory planning, production planning, and distribution strategies to ensure product availability and service levels.
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and present recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate forecast trends and their impact on inventory, revenue, and overall business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on forecasting processes, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.
• Support efforts to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
• Assist with monthly ordering and replenishment activities while ensuring alignment with broader inventory and sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, inventory management, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive meaningful business insights from complex data.
• Experience working with forecasting models, inventory planning, and demand management processes.
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting global supply chain operations is a plus.
• APICS, ISM, or other supply chain certifications are preferred.
