The ideal candidate should have strong, in-depth knowledge of the EDI framework, especially EDI X12, along with proven experience in designing, mapping, and implementing complex supply chain and warehouse transactions. They will be responsible for managing the complete process of Trading Partner (TP) onboarding, handling secure certificate exchanges, overseeing Boomi API Management, and ensuring compliance with platform licensing. Key Responsibilities EDI & Trading Partner Management • B2B/EDI Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain robust EDI integrations using the Boomi platform, acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all EDI X12 processes. • Complex EDI Mapping: Develop and troubleshoot intricate EDI-to-JSON, EDI-to-XML, and EDI-to-Database/ERP mappings. • Transaction Set Mastery: Implement, support, and map highly specific X12 transactions, primarily focusing on Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Billing: o 810 (Invoice) & 880 (Grocery Products Invoice) o 846 (Inventory Inquiry/Advice) o 856 (Advance Ship Notice / ASN) o 940 (Warehouse Shipping Order) & 943 (Warehouse Stock Transfer) o 944 (Warehouse Receipt Advice) & 945 (Warehouse Shipping Advice) o 947 (Warehouse Inventory Adjustment) • TP Onboarding: Lead end-to-end Trading Partner onboarding, configuring Boomi Trading Partner shapes, communication channels (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN), and acknowledgment (997) handling. Security & Certificate Management • Certificate Exchange: Serve as the internal expert for managing public and private certificates. • Secure Communications: Generate, import, and deploy SSL/TLS certificates, AS2 encryption/signature certificates, and PGP keys. • Lifecycle Management: Proactively track certificate expiration dates and coordinate key renewals with external Trading Partners to ensure zero downtime. Boomi Integration, API Management & Platform Administration • API Management: Design, deploy, and secure RESTful and SOAP APIs using Boomi API Management. Enforce policies, rate limits, and secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, API Keys). • Platform Licensing: Monitor and manage Boomi licensing limits. Understand the intricacies of Standard Connections vs. Trading Partner Connections to optimize deployment architectures and prevent licensing overages. • Process Optimization: Tune Boomi processes for high performance, utilizing Document Cache, Data Process shapes, and Groovy scripting where standard shapes fall short. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: [e.g., 5-7+] years of dedicated experience in middleware integration, with a minimum of [e.g., 3-4] years exclusively focused on Boomi and EDI. • EDI X12 Expert: Deep understanding of EDI X12 standards, segments, elements, looping structures, and qualifiers. (Experience with the 900-series warehouse documents is strictly required). • Boomi Platform Expert: Extensive hands-on experience with Boomi Integration and Boomi API Management. • Security/Cryptography: Deep functional knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), keystores, AS2 configuration (MDN, Encryption, Signing), and secure file transfers. • Communication Protocols: Expert in configuring AS2, SFTP, HTTP/S, and REST/SOAP web services. • Scripting: Proficiency in Groovy or JavaScript for custom Boomi scripting.
