Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer - Platform/Product to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Mainframe IMS DBA, enabling them to effectively manage and optimize our database systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to the development and enhancement of our platform and product offerings while ensuring high performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions using Mainframe IMS.
• Implement database management best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, conducting regular health checks and tuning as necessary.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
• Document database architecture, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management and development.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Mainframe IMS DBA, including installation, configuration, and administration.
• Proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.
• Experience with database backup and recovery techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other database management systems (DBMS) such as DB2 or Oracle.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or C#.
• Understanding of cloud-based database solutions and services.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in database management or related technologies are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
