Delivery Manager (Senior Level)

Drive delivery excellence across EPC DT by ensuring predictable outcomes, transparency, and strong stakeholder alignment across a product suite.

Consultant will act as the bridge between product, business stakeholders, and delivery teams, ensuring clear priorities, effective coordination, and continuous improvement in how value is delivered.

Scope of work

• Lead delivery across a product suite within EPC DT, ensuring alignment on goals, scope, dependencies, risks, and progress.
• Drive predictable delivery by tracking outcomes, managing risks and impediments, and enabling data-driven decisions.
• Support product suite planning, prioritization, sequencing, and capacity management.
• When needed, provide hands-on delivery leadership and coaching to teams requiring additional support.
• Drive continuous improvement and actively contribute to the EPC DT Delivery Management team together with Delivery Leads, Delivery Managers, and the Head of Delivery.
• Provide transparent reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Manage delivery finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Additional Role Context – Delivery Manager

To clarify the scope of this role, the Delivery Manager is not expected to manage a single project or programme in the traditional sense.

Ørsted operates under a product-centric IT operating model, where the Delivery Manager is accountable for delivery performance across a Product Suite rather than a single initiative.

A Product Suite is a cohesive collection of related products tailored to a specific business domain and it's capabilities. In this role, the consultant will coordinate and drive delivery across a Product Suite consisting of multiple agile teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, delivery commitments, governance requirements, and value realisation.

The primary focus of the role is Product Suite-level delivery leadership. However, when needed, the consultant is expected to take a more hands-on role and support individual teams at Delivery Lead level to address delivery challenges, strengthen execution, and improve delivery outcomes.

Beyond operational delivery, the consultant is expected to be an active and engaged member of the EPC DT Delivery Management community, working closely with Delivery Leads, Delivery Managers, and the Head of Delivery to drive continuous improvements and strengthen delivery practices across the organisation.

Regarding financial responsibilities, the Delivery Manager holds budget ownership for the assigned Product Suite, with overall budget accountability residing with the Head of Platform. The consultant is therefore expected to have solid experience with programme- or product-suite-level financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, capacity planning, and value realisation. The role is expected to provide clear financial transparency and proactively balance delivery outcomes, resource utilization, and budget targets.

Finally, the role benefits from a strong collaborative presence within the organisation. While Ørsted's workplace model typically involves employees working from the office 3-4 days per week, this is not intended as a rigid requirement for consultants. Instead, we believe regular in-person collaboration creates opportunities to build trust, strengthen relationships, and foster the inclusive and collaborative culture that characterises Ørsted.
