Medicaid/MMIS Technical Manager (Java Full Stack)We are seeking a Medicaid/MMIS Technical Manager with strong Java full-stack expertise to lead development and delivery of scalable healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of Medicaid applications (claims, eligibility, enrollment).
- Provide technical leadership and mentor development teams.
- Lead architecture, design, and development using Java full-stack technologies (Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, REST APIs).
- Drive hands-on development when needed, especially in critical components and solution design.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, CMS).
- Collaborate with business and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Lead Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and implementation of best practices.
- Ensure application scalability, security, and high availability.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of modern/AI technologies.
- 8–12 years of IT experience with a technical leadership background.
- Strong Medicaid/MMIS domain experience (MMIS preferred).
- Hands-on Java full-stack development experience.
- Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and databases.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
