JD for Back-end Developer
Key Responsibilities
· Design and implement event-driven microservices using Java Spring Boot, following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and bounded context patterns
· Build reliable event producers and consumers that handle business events (inventory updates, stock movements, order status changes, etc.)
· Implement data consistency patterns including sagas, event sourcing, and change data capture (CDC) to maintain consistency across distributed systems
· Design and optimize database schemas in MySQL, ensuring proper indexing, transaction management, and query performance
· Develop integration patterns with event streaming infrastructure, including handling of dead letter queues, retries, and error scenarios
· Implement API contracts and event schemas that enable loose coupling between services
· Participate in code reviews, and technical discussions to drive quality and scalability improvements
· Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to event delivery, latency, and data consistency
Required Qualifications
· 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Java
· Strong expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot for building microservices
· Deep understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) including schema design, transaction management, and performance tuning
· Solid grasp of event-driven architecture patterns and asynchronous communication
· Proven experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent) or willingness to quickly learn new streaming technologies
· Experience designing and implementing saga patterns or other distributed transaction patterns
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex distributed system issues
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Nice to Have
· Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and bounded contexts
· Knowledge of change data capture (CDC) technologies and techniques
· Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native architectures
· Experience with distributed tracing and observability tools
· Understanding of retail, logistics, or e-commerce systems
