The Role:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Kitchen Technician to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of kitchen equipment and appliances across our hotel properties, ensuring smooth and safe kitchen operations at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repair of kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers, dishwashers, refrigeration units, and extraction systems
• Diagnose faults on gas, electrical, and mechanical kitchen equipment and carry out timely repairs
• Respond promptly to breakdowns reported by kitchen staff, minimising disruption to food & beverage operations
  
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment to identify and address issues proactively
  
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained in line with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, servicing schedules, and equipment condition
  
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialised servicing, parts, or repairs when needed
  
• Ensure work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption to kitchen operations, particularly during service hours
• Support the wider Maintenance team with general technical and preventive maintenance tasks across the property

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician, Catering Equipment Engineer, or similar role, ideally within a hotel, restaurant, or large-scale catering environment
  
• Solid technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (gas, electrical, and refrigeration systems)
  
• Relevant technical qualification (mechanical, electrical, or gas) is an asset
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations relevant to kitchen equipment
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, particularly during peak service times
  
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and be available for emergency call-outs
  
• Basic English communication skills
