LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.

With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren’t working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.

In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.

About the Opportunity

Join LGT Wealth Management, one of Australia's leaders in private wealth advice and part of the world's largest family-owned wealth management group.

As anExperienced Associate in our Advisory team, you'll take on a senior support role alongside Investment Advisers, drawing on your established expertise to deliver exceptional service to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients. You'll be trusted to manage complex client matters with a high degree of autonomy, act as a key point of escalation, and help guide and mentor more junior members of the team.

This is an ideal role for someone who has already built a strong foundation in wealth management, thrives on solving complex problems independently, and wants to deepen client relationships while being part of a collaborative, values-driven environment. You'll gain exposure to sophisticated portfolios, global investment solutions, and a business that genuinely values long-term thinking, trust, and sustainable success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Independently manage the end-to-end onboarding of new clients, account openings and complex portfolio administration, exercising sound judgement on non-standard cases.
  • Take ownership of key client activities including cash and stock transfers, corporate actions, margin calls, settlements, and international trading — identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.
  • Partner closely with Investment Advisers on higher-value and more complex client relationships, preparing and quality-checking meeting materials, investment proposals, pitch documents and review packs.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on more sensitive or complicated matters, escalating judiciously and coaching junior Associates on best practice.
  • Maintain and oversee the accuracy of client files and records within Avaloq, ensuring compliance standards are met and helping to strengthen team processes and controls.
  • Liaise daily with clients, internal teams and external providers, taking the lead in resolving more complex queries and delivering a seamless service experience.
  • Proactively monitor and manage key client milestones such as annual reviews, documentation updates and risk profile renewals, and help design better ways to track these across the team.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior Associates, sharing knowledge and helping to onboard new team members.
  • Lead coordination of client functions and marketing events, working with minimal oversight.

About You

  • 4+ years' experience in wealth management with a track record of taking on increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement on complex or ambiguous matters, and know when to escalate.
  • Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a genuine client-first mindset and confidence engaging directly with high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior colleagues is highly regarded.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, resourceful and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AI proficiency; familiarity with Avaloq or similar platforms is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance or a related discipline (desirable).

  • RG146 accreditation or willingness to obtain it quickly.

  • AML/KYC or derivatives accreditation considered an advantage.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • A values driven, purpose led culture - At LGT Wealth Management, our long term ownership model means stability, integrity and a commitment to sustainable success — for clients and for our people.

  • Exposure to global capability and sophisticated investing - Work with world-class advisers, gain insight into private markets, sustainable investing and intergenerational wealth strategies as part of a global wealth management network.

  • A team that wins together - Collaboration is one of our core values. You’ll be surrounded by people who back you, share knowledge generously, and celebrate both individual and collective achievements.

LGT Wealth Management is committed to the ongoing development of their employees. Your development will be managed and tailored to your role and future career path.
