Introduction:
The Principal Analyst Tax &Subsidieswillmanageand/orexecutetaxandsubsidystrategiesforGlobalFoundries.Thisroleisresponsibleforsupportingdirecttaxcompliance,taxaccounting,taxplanning,financialanalysis,governmentauditrequirements,andsubsidy-relateddocumentation.
Thecandidatewillworkcloselywithinternalstakeholders,externaladvisors,auditors,andgovernmentauthoritiestoensurecompliancewithapplicabletaxlawsandregulations,whilesupportingtax-efficientbusinessstrategiesandsubsidyopportunities.
YourJob:
- Manageand/orexecutetaxandsubsidystrategyfortheorganization.
- Prepareandmaintaintaxrecords,returns,reports,andotherrelateddocumentation.
- Responsibleforcompliancedocumentation,filing,andgovernmentauditsrelatedtofederal,state,andlocaltaxfilings.
- Supporttaxaccountingactivitieswithstrongdirecttaxexperience,preferablywithAPACexposure.
- Recommendalternativetaxtreatmentstoalleviateorreducetaxburdenincompliancewithapplicablelawsandregulations.
- Performfinancialactivitiesincludingdeveloping,reviewing,andevaluatingfinancialplansandpolicies.
- Performbothfinancialplanninganalysisandtaxfunctionswithintheorganization.
- Design,develop,andimplementtaxstrategiestosupportbusinessobjectives.
- Deviselegalmeanstominimizetaxliabilityusingstrongknowledgeoftaxlawsandregulations.
- Workwithgovernmentaffairsandrelevantstakeholderstosupportadvocacyandthedesignoffavorabletaxandsubsidylegislativepolicies.
- Responsibleforcompliancedocumentation,filing,andgovernmentauditsrelatedtosubsidies.
- Partnerwithinternalfinance,legal,governmentaffairs,andbusinessteamsontaxandsubsidy-relatedmatters.
- Supporttaxaudits,governmentinquiries,andregulatoryreviews.
- Monitorchangesintaxlaws,regulations,andsubsidyprogramsandassessbusinessimpact.
- PerformallactivitiesinasafeandresponsiblemannerandsupportallEnvironmental,Health,Safety&Securityrequirementsandprograms.
- Workandcollaborateonotherprojectsand/orassignmentsasneeded.
OtherResponsibilities:
- Provideguidanceandsupportondirecttaxmatters,taxaccounting,andsubsidy-relatedactivities.
- Ensuretimelyandaccuratepreparationoftaxfilings,reports,andsupportingschedules.
- Supportcross-functionalprojectsinvolvingtax,finance,subsidies,andgovernmentincentives.
- Maintainproperdocumentationtosupportauditreadinessandcompliancerequirements.
- Collaboratewithinternalandexternalstakeholderstoidentifytaxoptimizationandsubsidyopportunities.
- Supportprocessimprovementinitiativeswithintaxandsubsidyoperations.
RequiredQualifications:
- Bachelor’sDegreeinAccounting,Finance,Taxation,orarelateddiscipline.
- ProfessionalqualificationsuchasACCA,CPA,CA,ICAEW,orequivalentispreferred.
- 5–7yearsofrelevanttaxexperience.
- Strongbackgroundindirecttaxandtaxaccounting.
- APACtaxexperienceispreferred.
- Experienceintaxcompliance,taxfiling,taxreporting,andgovernmentauditsupport.
- Knowledgeoffederal,state,andlocaltaxregulations.
- Experienceinfinancialplanning,financialanalysis,andtax-relatedfinancialactivities.
- Experiencewithsubsidies,governmentincentives,orgovernmentcompliancedocumentationwillbeanaddedadvantage.
- Stronganalytical,problem-solving,andstakeholdermanagementskills.
- Abletoworkindependentlyandcollaborateeffectivelyacrossfunctions.
- Goodcommunicationskillsandattentiontodetail.
PreferredQualifications:
- Experienceinamultinationalcompanyormanufacturingenvironment.
- ExperiencesupportingtaxandsubsidymattersacrossmultipleAPACcountries.
- Exposuretogovernmentaffairs,incentives,grants,orsubsidyprograms.
- Strongunderstandingofcorporatetaxcomplianceandtaxplanning.
- Abilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesandworkwithcross-functionalstakeholders.
