3 North/3 South Surgical | Corbin, KY
Corbin 3 North Surgical is a 36-bed medical-surgical unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses. We offer compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the continuum of recovery. Our team specializes in post-operative management, medical stabilization, and ongoing treatment of acute and chronic conditions. 3. North Surgical is committed to delivering high-quality, coordinated care that supports safe healing, patient education, andoptimal outcomes for every individual we serve.Â
3 South Surgical Unit is a dynamic, fast-paced unit that provides comprehensive care for adult patients with complex medical, cardiac, vascular, and post-operative needs. Our team specializes in caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions, complex medication management, and cardiovascular procedure recovery. Staff develop advanced clinical skills through the care of a diverse patient population requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring. Team members utilize a multidisciplinary approach to deliver high quality; patient-centered care focused on stabilization, treatment, recovery, and education.Â
The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.Â

The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Â
The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.  Â
As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc. Â

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: Â
Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Â
Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Â
Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.Â
ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.Â
