Introduction

Jim Pattison Subaru Coquitlam is looking for a full-time Car Jockey to support our sales department. If you are detail oriented and would like to develop a career within automotive, this is the opportunity for you.

Location: Surrey, BC

Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours/week) | Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $19 per hour

Reports To: Sales Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Automotive Lot Attendant to join our dealership team! In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our lot presentation and ensuring our vehicles always look their best.

A Day in the Life

• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sharp presentation of our vehicle inventory through exterior washing and interior detailing.
• Safely maneuver, arrange, and relocate inventory and guest vehicles around the dealership.
• Capture clear, appealing photos of pre-owned vehicles and assist with posting them online.
• Promptly report any vehicle or property issues and ensure the safe handling of all tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company and customer data while contributing to a supportive, positive work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensing: A valid BC Driver’s License accompanied by a clean Driver’s Abstract report.
• Driving Skills: Ability to comfortably operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Personality: A friendly and approachable attitude
• Work Ethic: Highly reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• This is a physically active role and requires the following:
  • Frequent walking throughout the dealership building and lot
  • Walking and/or standing for long periods
  • Frequent operation of vehicles
  • Washing vehicles, which may include use of various cleaning products and frequent bending, crouching, and reaching
  • Significant time spent outdoors in various weather, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions are monitored for safety as needed
