Position Summary
Serve as the technical counterpart to platform leadership, providing oversight of Data Platform Engineering, L2 Operations, DevOps, and platform support teams. Lead platform reliability, architecture, automation, and modernization initiatives across the enterprise data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Data Platform operations, support, and escalations (L1/L2).
- Drive platform engineering initiatives, automation, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership for Snowflake, DBT, Matillion, and enterprise data platforms.
- Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD, release management, and deployment automation.
- Support platform architecture, governance, security, and modernization efforts.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled development practices and Snowflake Cortex capabilities.
- Mentor engineering teams and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Expert-level Snowflake experience.
- Strong DBT, Matillion, SQL, and Data Engineering expertise.
- Platform Architecture and Operations leadership.
- DevOps, CI/CD, Release Management, and Automation.
- Cloud Data Platform experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted development and platform modernization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Background in Platform Engineering, Data Operations, or SRE.
- Experience with Data Governance and Observability platforms.
- Managing globally distributed teams across onshore, nearshore, and offshore models.
