Role summary
We’re seeking a DBA / Database Developer to design, maintain, and improve database environments that support reliable, efficient data operations. The role combines PostgreSQL administration with database development, data modeling, and ETL work.
Key responsibilities
- Administer PostgreSQL databases, including configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Design and develop database schemas, tables, views, and other database objects.
- Create and maintain data models to support business and technical requirements.
- Analyze data structures and database performance; recommend and implement improvements.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot ETL processes for moving and transforming data.
- Support data quality, integrity, security, and availability.
- Collaborate with application, analytics, and infrastructure teams on database requirements and solutions.
- Document database designs, processes, and operational procedures.
- Database administration, database development, data modeling, and ETL
- Database platform: PostgreSQL
- Additional technologies: MongoDB and legacy database platforms, as applicable"
- Strong SQL skills.
- PostgreSQL administration experience.
- Database design and data modeling experience.
- Data analysis skills, including the ability to assess database structures and data requirements.
- Experience developing or supporting ETL processes.
- Clear communication and documentation skills.
- MongoDB experience.
- Schema mapping experience.
- Experience with legacy database migration.
