Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, backup and recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database environments.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and storage.
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and replication activities.
• Ensure database security, user access control, and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide production support.
• Manage database migrations, patches, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for application support.
• Create and maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
• Monitor system health, uptime, and capacity planning.
• Support high availability and failover configurations.

Required Skills

• Strong Database Administration experience.
• Expertise in one or more databases:
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • MongoDB
• Database backup and recovery management.
• Performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with replication, clustering, and HA solutions.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows server environments.
• Scripting experience using Shell, Python, or PowerShell is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Cloud database experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
• Oracle DBA / Microsoft SQL certifications preferred.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
