Database Administrator

Position Title: Database Administrator

Location: Fort Hood, TX; White Sands Missile Range, NM

Clearance required: Secret minimum (Tier 3 / T3R); Top Secret / SCI eligible (Tier 5 / T5R) required to administer classified systems or networks or for critical- or special-sensitive duties.

Scope of Work:Provides database and systems administration for ATEC enterprise applications and management information systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and recoverability.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Administer and support MS-SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and other Government-approved database platforms 
• Manage data storage, monitor device usage, and implement measures to maintain and improve system performance 
• Support database backup, archive, and recovery using Government-approved tools and scripting languages 
• Continually monitor data integrity and notify the Government within two work hours of any database discrepancy 
• Support RMF accreditation artifacts and eMASS package maintenance for designated systems 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum) 

• U.S. citizenship 

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently 

• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software 

• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret / SCI eligibility (Tier 5 / T5R) required for classified system development 

• DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M baseline certification appropriate to the assigned work role and level, held prior to performance, with the required computing environment (CE) certification obtained within six (6) months of appointment.
