Senior Database Administrator / Database Architect

Federal IT Program | Razor

Razor is seeking an experiencedOracle Database Administrator / Database Architect to support a federal IT program. This role focuses on Oracle database architecture, schema design, PL/SQL development, and troubleshooting complex data issues.

Hands-on Oracle Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR) experience is required.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of database administration, development, or architecture experience.
• 1+ year of hands-on Oracle Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR) experience, including editions, editioning views, and cross-edition triggers.
• 3+ years designing and modifying Oracle database schemas, including tables, views, and data grants.
• 3+ years of PL/SQL development and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience correcting data issues, including deduplication, data backfills, and claim generation.
• Experience supporting transactional database systems.
• Experience working with tickets, performing peer reviews, and documenting database changes.
• Understanding of Agile development or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database structures and schemas.
• Use Oracle EBR to implement database changes while minimizing application downtime.
• Write and troubleshoot PL/SQL code and resolve data issues.
• Perform database corrections, root-cause analysis, and data integrity checks.
• Support database architecture improvements and evaluate technical solutions.
• Work with developers and technical teams to test, review, and deploy database changes.
• Document changes and follow established development and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• ER/Studio: Logical and physical data modeling.
• Liquibase: Database change management and deployments.
• Kafka: Event-driven architecture experience.
• GitHub: Version control and pull requests.
• GitHub Copilot: Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
