ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Global Security Manager, you will be responsible for managing physical security at our data centres in emerging regions.

Data4 is growing very rapidly, and the role of the Physical Security Lead is key to implementing the company's policies from the very start of operations.

 

The position can be based in Hanau (Germany), Jawczyce (Poland), Alcobendas (Spain) or Cornaredo (Italy). 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for implementing Data4's global policies, defining local procedures, and overseeing the overall operations of the Security Department in your assigned countries or campuses.

You will perform risk assessments of the scoped sites, proposing cost-effective security measures to mitigate existing risks, in alignment with Data4 Physical Security Standards.

You will measure the security operations performance, including security companies providing services, and report KPIs.

You will contribute to the Security Awareness program.

You will be responsible to coordinate the Security Guards shifts and keep them trained in policies, procedures and tools.

You will provide evidences and support in Security audits.

You will engage with law enforcement, emergency services and authorities where required in the management of security topics, reporting of incidents and private-public collaboration.

You will need to travel frequently to the assigned Data4 locations (expect one trip per month).

You will be responsible for handing over security operations in your assigned countries as they reach the necessary volume and maturity levels.

 



RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF CERTIFICATIONS

Respect and enforce certification policies in terms of:

  • H&S: Respect and enforce health and safety rules.
  • Environment: Respect and enforce environmental policies.
  • Information security: Respect and enforce information security policies
  • Energy:Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.



REQUIREMENTS

Education and experience

  • Security related studies or 5 years of equivalent experience managing the security of a critical or strategic infrastructure environment (Private Security)
  • If legally required, the candidate must hold the qualification to carry out this Private Security role in your base country.
  • Experience performing access control, video surveillance, patrolling.
  • Experience developing security plans.

 

 Skills 

                Required:

  • Knowledge of European Private Security and Critical Infrastructure related laws.
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its application to surveillance and access control systems.
  • Familiarity with building and fire safety regulations.
  • Operation of intrusion detection, CCTV and access control systems.
  • Good level of English language, both written and spoken, suitable for business and security contexts. Ability to communicate in meetings, presentations, and written correspondence.
  • Knowledge of other European languages is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office suite experienced user.

 

                Preferred:

  • Knowledge of a Risk Management methodology.
  • Genetec suite operation.
  • Familiarized with physical security aspects in ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS.
  • Professional qualifications in physical security.
