JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Data Solution Architect
Experience: 12+ Years
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Solution Architect with a strong blend of architecture, hands-on data engineering, and technical leadership skills. The ideal candidate will design scalable enterprise data solutions, establish best-in-class engineering practices, and provide technical mentorship to Data Engineers and Senior Data Engineers. Experience in Azure, Databricks, and large-scale data platform delivery is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architectures, data models, and data integration frameworks.
- Architect and lead development of scalable ETL/ELT solutions and enterprise data platforms.
- Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption patterns.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.
- Review solution designs, code, and engineering deliverables to ensure quality and scalability.
- Drive DevOps-based delivery practices including CI/CD, testing, automation, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Establish standards for data quality, metadata management, observability, and platform reliability.
- Support modernization, cloud migration, and AI-ready data architectures.
Required Skills & Experience
Data Architecture & Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Solution Architecture.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, data flow design, and enterprise data architecture.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale ETL/ELT frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing enterprise data pipelines.
- Strong experience working across the complete data solution lifecycle, from requirements through production deployment.
Cloud & Platform Expertise
- Expert-level experience withMicrosoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on expertise inAzure Databricks.
- Experience with at least one additional cloud platform (AWS or GCP) (preferred)
- Proficiency with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, and related Azure data services.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL, Python, PySpark, and Spark optimization.
- Experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and big data technologies.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with performance optimization, monitoring, data quality, and governance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in theOil & Gas industry (highly preferred).
- Exposure toAI/ML platforms, MLOps, and/or GenAI solutions.
- Experience leading or mentoring data engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale analytics and data products.
