Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Engineer with a strong healthcare background to ensure the accuracy, integrity, consistency, and completeness of healthcare data across enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in data validation, ETL testing, data pipelines, and analytics platforms, along with knowledge of healthcare data and business processes.

The candidate will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, product owners, and healthcare domain experts to identify data quality issues and ensure reliable, high-quality data for reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of healthcare data across multiple systems and platforms.
• Perform data quality testing for ETL processes, data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Develop and execute SQL queries to validate data transformations, reconciliations, and business rules.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot data discrepancies, anomalies, and quality issues.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from source systems to target platforms.
• Perform source-to-target data mapping and validation.
• Work with healthcare datasets, including member enrollment, claims, provider, benefits, and eligibility data.
• Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to define data quality rules and validation criteria.
• Support data profiling, root cause analysis, defect tracking, and resolution.
• Ensure healthcare data meets business requirements, regulatory standards, and internal data governance policies.
• Document test scenarios, test cases, results, and data quality metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Data Quality Engineering, Data Testing, or ETL Testing.
• Healthcare domain experience, preferably with claims, member enrollment, provider, eligibility, or benefits data.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Experience with data profiling, data mapping, and data quality validation.
• Understanding of data integrity, completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
• Experience with defect management and root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for test automation.
• Experience with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, or EDI 834/835/837.
• Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
• Experience with data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Informatica, or dbt tests.
