JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:  Data Entry Clerk

DEPARTMENT:    Energy

FLSA STATUS:       Non-Exempt

PAY GRADE:          3

REPORTS TO:        Assistant Program Manager - Energy

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The purpose of this position is to support the Agency’s needs by inputting deliverable fuel invoices into the Energy database(s).

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Verifies invoice data is accurate and lists DSS required information.
• Inputs invoice information into designated computer application(s.)
• Ensures all invoices are date stamped, filed by date, and entered in the system in a timely fashion (2-3 days after receiving).

• Creates and maintains filing system for all received and processed invoices.
• Corresponds with vendors, funders and staff as required or assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Minimum Years of Experience: Two (2) years of experience in an office environment with data entry.

Demonstrated Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and computer databases. Ability to follow instructions and be adaptable. Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
