Job Title:   Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2
Location: Redmond WA 
Salary Range:  $35/hr to $43/hr on W2 

Introduction

This role involves supporting the maintenance, deployment, and overall operation of lab systems and infrastructure. The candidate will work closely with internal and external customers to design and maintain lab setups, troubleshoot lab issues, and contribute to the deployment and support of new iterations within a lab environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a technical support role, including system administration on Linux and/or Windows platforms.
• Experience in Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell scripting.
• Network knowledge and experience using Wireshark or other network analysis tools.
• Experience creating and supporting virtual machines, preferably using Hyper-V.
• Combination of data center hardware/system and out-of-band/remote management knowledge.
• Experience with firmware updates on lab systems/infrastructure.
• Hardware/system knowledge: SoC (system on chip), high-speed switch, rack manager, blade server, and BMC.
• Experience on Azure Compute infrastructure is a strong plus.
• Experience with SoC Firmware is a plus.
• Ability to pass an Azure background check.
• Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• AS/BS in engineering or computer science.
• Hardware/system knowledge: SoC (system on chip), high-speed switch, rack manager, blade server, and BMC.
• Experience on Azure Compute infrastructure is a strong plus.
• Experience with SoC Firmware is a plus.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Apply firmware updates and troubleshoot failing systems.
• Support new deployments and individual project work.
• Conduct general lab maintenance, including labeling, cable management, and documentation.
