Data Analytics Engineer

About The Job:

• We are looking for an experiencedData Analytics Engineer to build and scale modern data pipelines, data models, and analytics architecture.
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and data pipeline optimization, along with the ability to translate business questions into scalable analytics solutions.
• This role requires a strong engineering mindset, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and proficiency with AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery and improve productivity.

Essential Job Functions

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing Snowflake and dbt pipelines to improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Analyze data anomalies and pipeline failures to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust ELT/ETL workflows leveraging Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.
• Utilize AI tools and coding assistants to accelerate development, optimize SQL queries, automate repetitive tasks, and improve engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts, architectural decisions, and analytical insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, testing strategies, and validation processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and pipeline documentation to ensure transparency and maintainability.
• Support reporting, dashboarding, and self-service analytics initiatives across the organization.
• Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve data architecture, pipeline efficiency, and overall platform performance.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related roles.
• Advanced hands-on expertise with SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.
• Strong understanding of modern data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and analytics engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools in fast-paced environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate issues beyond surface-level symptoms and identify true root causes.
• Regular hands-on experience using AI tools and coding assistants as part of the development workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions in business-friendly language.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Advanced SQL Development and Query Optimization.
• Snowflake Data Warehouse Architecture and Performance Tuning.
• dbt (Data Build Tool) Development and Data Modeling.
• Fivetran Data Integration and Pipeline Management.
• Data Pipeline Design, Monitoring, and Optimization.
• Data Quality, Testing, Documentation, and Governance.
• AI-assisted Development Tools and Productivity Workflows.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Git-based version control workflows.
• Experience implementing CI/CD processes for data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, or Hex.
• Experience working within high-growth or fast-moving analytics organizations.
• Exposure to cloud-native data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems.
