Data Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Analyst for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA or Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves professional data analysis, programming, and project management within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will conduct analysis to evaluate and improve processes, perform system integration and data validation, and manage projects while communicating status updates to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis to evaluate processes and tests, identify gaps, and develop plans for resolution
• Perform system integration, data validation, and quality checks
• Manage projects by setting up meetings, creating agendas, taking notes, and following up on action items
• Report project status and communicate effectively with stakeholders up to the Senior Director level
• Utilize Python to automate the creation of Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs with charts and data tables

Requirements:

• Approximately 5 years of overall experience
• At least 4 years of professional data analysis work experience
• At least 4 years of programming experience
• At least 5 years of experience with Python, SQL, or Spark, and Databricks
• At least 1 year of experience in Tableau or AWS Quicksight
• Proficient in utilizing and developing within AWS services

Desired skills:

• At least 1 year of experience in people management or project management
• Experience creating project timelines, defining milestones, and deliverables
• Excellent presentation and communication skills (clear, concise, logical)
• Customer-facing experience, with the ability to address stakeholder needs and provide real-time project status updates
• Previous working experience with a bank
• Quick learner and a team player

Pay range: $66.25 - $74.25 per hour
