ABOUT THE JOB 

We areseeking motivatedJava Engineers who are passionate, results focused to take accountability for the delivery of Microservices that will be used by bankingapplications. You will be part of our delivery team and willbe responsible for providing technicalexpertise throughout all phases of the software delivery life cycle as weinitiate a transformation of NAB technology.

YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design, develop, review, implement, and manage Java applications and services for the production and pre-releaseenvironments;  

• Design, develop, review, implement, and manage continuous integration, build management and deployment scripts, systems, and any code asrequired;  

• Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build scalable microservices-based products and APIs using Java technologies on AWS Cloudarchitecture;  

• Fully understand the requirements of the customer or business andutilize this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent withthis;  

• Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, andtooling;  

• Provide robust coding practices, solid unit/component test coverage, and debugging code.  

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Must have 

• ​Experience as aJavaengineer in acomplex, enterprise-level developmentenvironment; 

• Solid experience in JAVA 8+; 

• Solid experience in Java open-source frameworks, including developing using modern frameworks, e.g. SpringBoot; 

• Experience in designing & developing RESTful APIs and microservices-basedsystem; 

• Experience in Cloud computing andAmazon Web Services - particularly ServerlessDevelopment; 

• Practical experience in Containers (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker) and FaaS (AWS Lambda)technologies;  

• Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written), especially in the global software developmentenvironment; 

• Strong DevOps and Continuous Deliveryskillset; 

• Experience in modern CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Git, Ansible, Jenkins, NPM, Gradle); 

• Experience in Agile developmentenvironments; 

• Well-versed in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and cleancode; 

• Good problem-solving and analyticalskills; 

• Good understanding of standard Software Engineering processes,Testing; 

Nice-to-have 

• Experience in the Banking or Financial Servicesindustry;  

• Familiar with JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js orNode.js;  

• Anyadditional certification or training in IT, Business, Computer Science, or relatedarea;  

• Experience in leading and coaching at least one software engineer team on variousprojects;
