Dance Instructor ($25/hr, Classes Begin January, Substitute Opportunities Available Now)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talentedDance Instructor to join our team! This position involves teaching a variety of dance styles—including ballet, tap, hip-hop, acro, lyrical and more—in afun, inclusive, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about inspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels, with a particular excitement for working withyoung and recreational dancers.

Position Details

• Classes will begin in January 2027 with substitute opportunities available beforehand.
• Training to be completed prior to December 11th, 2026.
• Must be 18+ and completed high school.
• Teaching Commitment - Our winter/spring session runs January through May with continued opportunities into the summer and fall.
• Seeking candidates available weekdays 4:15-8:00pm and Saturdays. Additional daytime availability is a plus!
• Starting at$25/hr for qualified candidates. Starting pay based on teaching experience leading a classroom and relative education/training.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead dance classes for children and adults of varying skill levels.
• Teach proper technique and form in a variety of dance styles includingBallet, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, andAcrobatics.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans with fun and engaging activities to keep students motivated
• Assess each student’s skill level and adapt teaching methods as needed
• Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment for all participants
• Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to help dancers improve their skills and confidence
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow instructors

Requirements

• Background and/or experience in multiple dance styles, with strong knowledge of proper technique and safety guidelines
• Must be18 years of age or older
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to work with children of all ages and skill levels
• Skill in creating and modifying lesson plans to meet student needs
• Passion for teaching dance and inspiring growth and confidence
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic
• Must pass a background check
