Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experiencedLead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a premium global retailer in the EU region. This role combines technical leadership, client communication, and hands-on development in a fast-paced, Agile SAFe environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a development team of 5 engineers
• Serve as the primary client-facing lead for Marketing Cloud development updates
• Participate in hands-on development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
• Align with the Business Analyst Lead on user story refinements and the Test Lead on test-related topics
• Drive platform technical maturity, including DevOps practices, CI/CD processes, and RCA for production issues
• Contribute to innovation projects such as onboarding new countries onto Salesforce Marketing Cloud and implementing new platform features
• Support sprint planning and quarterly SAFe program increment planning activities

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• 1+ years of experience in a technical leadership or team lead role within a development team
• Strong hands-on experience with AMPscript
• Practical experience with Integration Frameworks and Integration Platforms
• Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud
• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Salesforce environments
• Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues and implement incremental improvements
• Experience with user story refinement, backlog grooming, and coordination with testing teams
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies, ideally in a SAFe framework environment
• English level B2+
