Location: NYC, NY – Locals only (3 days hybrid, no exceptions)
Our client, a top-tier management consulting firm, has partnered with a leading Investment Bank in NYC to hire a Cybersecurity Consultant – Network, Data & Endpoint Security. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network defense, data protection, and endpoint security, with a proven track record of implementing robust cybersecurity controls in highly regulated, complex financial environments.
Responsibilities:
Implement, monitor, and improve cybersecurity controls across network, data, and endpoint security domains.
Drive initiatives in network defense, segmentation, IDS/IPS platforms, and security monitoring.
Ensure secure data handling and storage using encryption standards (SHA, AES, etc.) and PKI/certificate lifecycle management.
Lead efforts in enterprise key management and certificate authority systems.
Align security practices with regulatory frameworks ( ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS) and industry best practices.
Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze threats, resolve incidents, and improve defenses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with a focus on network, data, and endpoint protection.
Strong knowledge of the OSI model, layered defense approaches, and endpoint protection technologies.
Experience with IDS/IPS, segmentation, monitoring tools, and advanced encryption technologies.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and proven ability to implement compliant controls.
Problem-solving and analytical mindset, able to work independently and in collaborative teams.
Relevant certifications ( CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, GIAC, or vendor-specific PKI/Encryption certs) strongly preferred.
