CrossTech is seeking aCybersecurity Architect on an ongoing basis to design, evaluate, and maintain secure architectures that protect enterprise systems, data, and business operations. This role ensures that security controls and frameworks are integrated into all aspects of IT architecture, infrastructure, and application delivery.
The Cybersecurity Architect will partner with infrastructure, cloud, and compliance teams to evaluate and enhance security posture, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and develop documentation to support governance and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of NIST frameworks, secure system design, and cloud security best practices.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and maintain enterprise security architectures to align with organizational and regulatory requirements

Incorporate cybersecurity principles and privacy requirements into solution, segment, and reference architectures

Assess and document security controls, policies, and configurations within System Security Plans (SSP)

Conduct security design reviews, risk assessments, and architecture gap analyses for infrastructure and application projects

Implement secure configuration management processes and ensure alignment with best practices and compliance standards

Collaborate with IT, cloud, and development teams to embed security controls early in the system development lifecycle

Identify and address cybersecurity and privacy risks associated with integrations between internal and external systems

Support the development and maintenance of documentation for security architectures, control frameworks, and compliance audits

Evaluate emerging technologies and provide guidance on improving enterprise security posture

Participate in governance and review boards to ensure architectural alignment and adherence to security baselines
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience incybersecurity architecture, governance, or system security planning

Strong knowledge ofNIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and associated control families

Proven experience creating and maintainingSystem Security Plans (SSP) and related compliance documentation

Deep understanding ofcloud infrastructure and security controls in multi-tenant and hybrid environments

Experience withsecure configuration management and security assessment methodologies

Knowledge ofmulti-level security systems and cross-domain security solutions

Skill in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity and privacy issues within interconnected systems

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience withFedRAMP, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 compliance frameworks

Relevant certifications such asCISSP, CISM, CCSP, or AWS/Azure Security Specialty

Familiarity withZero Trust Architecture and identity-based access models

Knowledge of security automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools
