Long Term
Required Experience:
• Active Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin or Splunk Core Certified Consultant credential.
• Proven experience developing Splunk solutions in large-scale environments.
• Building or maintaining anomaly detection models (especially LOF, Isolation Forest, Autoencoders, or similar unsupervised techniques).
• Supervised learning using Random Forests, XGBoost, or logistic regression for classification tasks.
• Hands-on work with feature engineering, data cleaning, encoding, and model validation.
• Familiarity with model interpretability (SHAP, LIME, feature importance).
• Practical understanding of precision/recall trade-offs and imbalanced datasets.
• 5–10+ years of Splunk Administration/Development experience
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience building custom Splunk applications, dashboards, detections, and analytics
• Security Operations, Threat Detection, SIEM, SOC, or Cyber Risk Defense experience
Machine Learning experience, including anomaly detection models such as:
- Isolation Forest
- Local Outlier Factor (LOF)
- Autoencoders
- Random Forest
- XGBoost
- Logistic Regression
• Experience with feature engineering, model validation, data quality, and ML operations
• Understanding of model interpretability tools such as SHAP, LIME, or feature importance methodologies
