Cyber Security - Disaster Recovery

• The Technology Resilience & Recovery Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cyber recovery blueprints and IT resilience solutions that ensure the organization’s technology infrastructure and critical systems can withstand and recover from
• disruptions, including cyberattacks.
• This role emphasizes Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), automation-driven recovery using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and JavaScript, and the creation of reusable cyber recovery playbooks to rapidly restore critical services in AWS, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

• Design and maintain cyber recovery blueprints for critical services and applications using Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
• Build IaC-driven recovery pipelines that support rapid system reconstitution in AWS and hybrid environments.
• Develop modular Ansible playbooks, Terraform modules, Python scripts, and JavaScript-based automation for recovery orchestration.
• Integrate networking and Linux resilience practices into cyber recovery blueprints.
• Collaborate with security and cloud engineering teams to ensure blueprints align with cyber resilience frameworks and Sheltered Harbor–style recovery vaults.

Disaster Recovery & Resilience Automation

• Implement automation and orchestration for disaster recovery, failover, and cyber recovery validation.
• Conduct failure mode analysis (FMA) and integrate lessons learned into blueprint iterations.
• Maintain and enhance data vaulting and one-way replication strategies for cyber recovery readiness.

Testing & Validation

• Lead cyber recovery drills and blueprint testing, simulating ransomware and other cyberattack scenarios.
• Validate RTO/RPO performance of blueprints across AWS and on-premises environments.
• Ensure recovery automation scripts and IaC modules remain version-controlled, tested, and production-ready.

Incident Response & Crisis Recovery

• Serve as a technical lead for cyber recovery operations during disruptions, ensuring rapid restoration of critical services.
• Integrate blueprints into the incident response playbook for ransomware and cyberattack recovery.
• Support root cause analysis and blueprint refinement after recovery events.

Monitoring, Compliance & Documentation

• Implement monitoring for blueprint readiness and DR orchestration health.
• Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, FFIEC, SOC 2, and other cyber resilience standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation and recovery runbooks for blueprint deployments.

• Years of exp: 8-11 Years
• 5+ years in experience in AWS cloud or cyber recovery in AWS.(Mandate)
• Linux administration and networking expertise.(Mandate)
• Proficiency in IaC and automation: Terraform & Python.(Mandate)
• Experience in Disaster Recovery .(Mandate)
• Ansible Automation.(Mandate)
• Redhat certification (Mandate)

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, resilience engineering, or cyber recovery.
• Strong Linux administration and networking expertise (routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Proficiency in IaC and automation: Ansible (certified), Terraform, Python, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AWS resilience and recovery services (AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, CloudFormation, Route 53 failover, IAM).
• Experience with backup, replication, and data protection tools (Veeam, Commvault, Zerto, etc.).

Preferred

• Red Hat Certification.
