Cyber Security Analyst

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

·      Monitoring security systems, networks, and applications for suspicious activity or potential threats

·      Investigating and responding to security incidents, escalating as needed

·      Conducting vulnerability assessments and recommending remediation measures

·      Assisting in developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and best practices

·      Performing risk assessments and supporting audits to ensure regulatory compliance

·      Collaborating with IT and engineering teams to implement security controls and patches

·      Supporting security awareness training initiatives for staff

Work Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

·      2–4+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role

·      Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

·      Familiarity with CMMC framework/requirements

·      Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners

·      Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

·      Ability to work under pressure and respond to incidents outside standard hours when needed

 Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
