Business Consulting - P&C Commercial

We are looking for a seasonedP&C Commercial Insurance Consultant to act as a subject matter expert, applying in-depth industry knowledge to hands-on client work, solution design, delivery, and transformation efforts spanning underwriting, pricing, claims, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary subject matter expert on P&C Commercial insurance topics, covering underwriting, rating/pricing, policy administration, claims, product configuration, risk/exposure management, workflow, and regulatory matters
• Bring practical consulting and delivery expertise to client projects, converting domain knowledge into actionable outcomes for real-world initiatives and transformation efforts
• Examine complex insurance products, processes, workflows, and data sets to uncover improvement opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations
• Offer specialized knowledge of Pricing/Rating capabilities, including rating models, pricing workflows, rating engines, product rules, premium calculations, and their operational implications
• Oversee successful delivery of client needs, including hands-on involvement in RFP responses, solution design, estimation, and proposal creation
• Support insurance thought leadership efforts through white papers, points of view, client presentations, and market-facing materials
• Spot and define AI/GenAI use cases across the P&C insurance value chain, spanning underwriting, rating/pricing, claims, servicing, fraud detection, and operational efficiency
• Lead proof-of-concept projects and accelerators grounded in recent client needs, ensuring real-world relevance and measurable business impact

Requirements

• 13-18 years of total IT experience, with 10+ years specifically in the insurance industry focused on P&C Commercial lines
• Practical background in consulting, business analysis, product management, transformation, or delivery within P&C Commercial insurance
• Proficiency in at least two of these P&C Commercial insurance areas: Pricing/Rating, Underwriting, Policy Administration/Renewal/Maintenance
• Capabilities in Product Configuration, Risk/Exposure Management, Claims, Workflow Management, Billing, or Premium Processing
• Experience with Pricing/Rating, covering commercial rating models, rating algorithms, pricing workflows, bureau/ISO factors, and rating platform rollouts
• Practical understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and GenAI/LLM applications within insurance, with the ability to explain relevant use cases, business value, adoption factors, responsible AI concerns, and regulatory implications
• Strong collaboration skills, along with excellent stakeholder management and client communication abilities

Nice to have

• Direct experience using GenAI tools, AI-assisted platforms, analytics software, or automation solutions
• Knowledge of platforms like Confluence, JIRA, Rally, or comparable agile/collaboration tools
• Background working with COTS insurance products, rating engines, policy administration systems, or system integration efforts
