Senior Buyer
As a Senior Buyer you will be responsible for executing complex or technical procurement activities, including high-value purchases. This role negotiates pricing and contract terms, drives sourcing efforts and supplier performance to meet cost, quality and delivery objectives.
Location: Tempe, AZ
Salary Range:$70,000 - $85,000

Your Challenge
- Executes end-to-end procurement activities for complex, high-value materials, components and services. Negotiates and administers complex purchase orders and agreements. Issues and administers purchase orders, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials or services. (25%)
- Drives supplier selection. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance and delivery. Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery) and corrective action implementation. Proactively addresses issues and escalates as needed. (25%)
- Resolves complex invoice discrepancies, receiving issues and supplier disputes. Maintains accurate and complete procurement records. (25%)
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to ensure alignment with program schedules and requirements. Drives cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. (25%)
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Demonstrated negotiation experience with measurable cost savings or value creation.
- Experience supporting complex programs or engineered products.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
