About VoiceOS
Say it and it's done. Voice is the new OS
Tech
We are solving every part of the voice agent pipeline. Specifically, the speech-to-text as it is the most neglected part in Voice AI.
The role
VoiceOS | Remote | Part-time | 20 hours/week | USD $1,100/month\\About the role\\VoiceOS is a Y Combinator-backed startup building a voice interface for your computer. We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping users and keeping a product community welcoming and useful.\\This role combines frontline customer support with Discord community replies and light moderation. We currently receive approximately 50–60 requests per day across our support system and Discord. Active handling is estimated at 1–1.5 hours daily, spread throughout the day; actual volume and complexity may vary.\\Schedule and compensation\\Compensation is USD $1,100 per month for 20 scheduled hours of coverage per week. Scheduled coverage includes both answering requests and monitoring the queues, not just time spent typing replies. Training and other assigned work count toward working time.\\The exact coverage hours and working days will be agreed before starting, ideally overlapping US business hours or UTC daytime. The response target applies only during your agreed staffed hours. You are not expected to remain online throughout your waking hours or provide unpaid availability outside the schedule.\\The final engagement structure and pay terms will comply with applicable local employment requirements. Any additional hours must be agreed in advance and compensated as required by law.\\What you’ll do\\• Answer incoming support requests and Discord questions with clear, friendly, accurate replies.\• Help users with onboarding, product usage, and basic troubleshooting; escalate bugs and complex technical or billing cases to the right teammate.\• Keep Discord welcoming and organized, address spam under our moderation rules, and make sure questions do not get lost.\• Keep ticket statuses updated, close resolved conversations, and share recurring issues and useful feedback with the team.\• During agreed staffed hours, provide a meaningful human first response in 3–5 minutes on average, with a maximum of 15 minutes. Flag coverage risks promptly and use the agreed backup process.\\What we’re looking for\\• Excellent written English, empathy, and calm communication with frustrated users.\• Customer-support or online-community experience; familiarity with Discord is important. SaaS or AI-product experience is a plus.\• Reliable internet, a computer, and dependable availability during the agreed schedule.\• Strong organization, attention to detail, and willingness to learn VoiceOS and our support tools. Familiarity with macOS and Windows is helpful.\• Good judgment with user data and escalation: no unsupported promises about refunds, fixes, or release dates.\\Training and support\\We’ll provide product onboarding, saved replies, an escalation process, and initial joint support with Maksim. You will not be expected to solve every technical problem yourself.\\To apply\\Share a short introduction, relevant experience, your time zone, and the exact hours and days you can cover within a 20-hour weekly schedule.\\Include a brief example of how you would respond to: “VoiceOS stopped working, and I’m frustrated because I’m paying for it.” Finalists will complete a short paid support simulation.
