Job Description

The Customer Access Solution Architect will be part of the Solution Architecture team. The Architecture team

has accountability for technology choices and solution design across multiple products and services. The

Customer Access Solution Architect has responsibility over solutions that enable external customers to

connect, authenticate and integrate with Services. The Solution Architect is a technical leader responsible for

researching, analyzing, proposing, and architecting requirements-based products and solutions that align

with the business and technology needs of the enterprise by acting as a trusted partner to the business. The

Solution Architect collaborates with business stakeholders, technology providers, security, and other

architects to develop technology and information architectures, solution designs, strategies, and roadmaps

for access solutions.

Your role as Architect

• Partner with senior leadership of internal business lines, customer entities, Infrastructure provider

and peers to assist in the identification of business needs

• Shape IT vision by offering appropriate strategic and tactical technical solutions to the business along

with a transition roadmap & plan for realizing it.

• Define strategic direction in terms of the technologies, standards, processes, and current/target

state architectures across the enterprise.

• Ensure customer access solutions adhere to strategic direction in terms of the technologies,

standards, processes, and current/target state architectures across the enterprise.

• Partner with technology, business and governance areas to outline large transformation programs

and deliver solutions.

• Partner with other Enterprise, Platform, Security, Data, and Infrastructure Architects to design and

deliver solutions.

• Guide the organization to incorporate architecture design patterns, system best practices and

standards in architecture, security, and infrastructure.

• Evaluate new technologies and vendors that might be beneficial to the business line along with

conducting vendor evaluation, proof of concepts, MVP definition, and recommend solutions for

improvement to drive the business forward.

• Demonstrate leadership and agility when responding to change or when working with ambiguity.

Your Background

• 5+ years of architecture or engineering experience in a complex, multi-platform distributed

environment.

• Strong problem solving, oral and written communication skills including experience with executive

presentations.

• In-depth knowledge of current technology, industry standards and frameworks, information

management & emerging technology trends and industry developments.

• Ability to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs.

• Strong organizational skills to lead competing and dynamic priorities, and multiple concurrent activities.

• Ability to drive ideas and influence stakeholders.

• Ability in confident presentation and in writing for a variety of audiences.

• Experience defining future state strategy and architecture principles in support of business

roadmaps.

• Experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards.

• Strong understanding of Customer Connectivity solutions related to Private Networks, Identity and Access

Management, and Application Integration

• Experience in designing highly secure and resilient solutions that facilitate Web, API, File Delivery,

and Messaging access

• Experience designing solutions for hybrid architectures spanning traditional data centers, cloud

service providers, and SaaS solutions.

• Knowledge of networking concepts including but not limited to DNS, Load Balancing, Network

Security & Routing, DDoS, Internet VPN and GMPLS based Private Networks

• Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure, Digital Certificates, Encryption and Digital Signing

• Banking, financial or payment technology industry experience is a plus.

• Cloud, Networking, and/or Security certifications or experience is a plus.

• Bachelor's in computer science, Information System, Systems Analysis or related experience
