Responsibilities
- Works with Crew Services Manager in seeing to a seamless experience for the Crew when using the Crew Office.
- Responsible for all administration support for Crew Services Manager including Crew sign-on process, Crew Port Papers, issuing Crew IDs, checking and updating passport & visa information
- Prepares sign-on packages for Human Resources
- Cash handling for Crew
- Maintain a cash float of at least $10,000 US; responsible for cash handling, currency exchange and balancing monies
- Responsible for providing services and support to the Crew in the forms of communication, travel, general information, and signing on and off the vessel
- Preparing clearance paperwork based on port requirements
- Administrative tasks regarding Crew embarkation & debarkation
- Provide internet support for Crew including personal one-on-one assistance, assisting with personal devices connecting to Wi-Fi.
- Assist with training new Crew on how to use Onboard Internet Services
- Overall support of the Crew Services Manager
- Assist the Guest Services operation, if required
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of related Guest Services experience
- Strong Guest Services knowledge
- Familiarity with front office computer software and proficiency in common software such as MS Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment
- Ability to deal with multiple, often difficult situations simultaneously
- Ability to manage own time & prioritize tasks
Additional Information
This is a SHIPBOARD role.You must:
- Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
- Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency responsibilities, and associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
- Be willing to uphold the general safety management responsibilities as specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
- If applicable, be willing to share a confined cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multicultural environment that has strict rules and regulations
- Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
- Complete a pre-employment medical
- Obtain a criminal background check
- Bring approved work shoes
