Job Summary

Para support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add aCost Accountant, located in Guadalajara.

Reporting to theController, the Cost Accountant role is responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, as well as investigating and interpreting those records to provide advice or prepare financial statements.

A typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic reviews of theProfit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure all postings have been made in accordance with defined policies, processes, and procedures.
• Compare actual results against the forecast/quotation and ensure variances are properly investigated and any necessary adjustments are made in the accounting records. Gather business reasons for any remaining variances and report them appropriately.
• Review accounts periodically to identify potential risks and ensure they are properly mitigated.
• Ensure all activities related to financial closing and reporting are properly planned and executed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the forecast/budget for related accounts.
• Collaborate with the operations team to improve operational and business metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant accounting, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Intermediate to advanced English.
• Basic knowledge of finance and accounting concepts.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Excel.
