Location: Philadelphia, PA 19103 (Primary) | Pittsburgh, PA | Arlington, VA
Work Model: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in office – effective March 2026)
Position Type: Full-Time
The Corporate Tax Manager – Provisions will be part of the Corporate Tax Solutions practice, focusing on corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 income tax provision (preparation, review, and audit). This role involves managing multiple client engagements, mentoring team members, and delivering high-quality tax solutions for large, multi-state and global organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax engagements from planning through completion
- Oversee corporate tax compliance and review tax returns for accuracy and optimization
- Conduct primary review ofASC 740 income tax provision engagements
- Supervise, train, and mentor associates and senior associates
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing and prospective clients
- Research complex tax matters and provide technical guidance
- Respond to IRS and state/local tax authority inquiries
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Utilize tax software to prepare and process returns
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and confidentiality
- Participate in professional development and training initiatives
Must-Have Requirements
- Active CPA (PA or VA) or reciprocity eligibility OR JD/active law license
- 4–7+ years of progressive tax compliance or tax consulting experience
- Strong experience incorporate tax & ASC 740 (prep, review, audit)
- Recent experience withTop 15 public accounting firms
- Experience supportinglarge, multi-state/national/global organizations
- Willingness to workhybrid (minimum 3 days onsite or client)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Required Skills
- Strong expertise incorporate income tax & ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes
- Proficiency inUS GAAP and corporate tax laws/regulations
- Experience withmulti-state taxation, international tax, and transfer pricing
- Strong analytical, technical, and tax technology skills
- Provenengagement management experience
- Excellent communication, client service, and presentation skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience withOneSource Tax Provision (OTP)
- Professional Services background
- Exposure to diverse industries (Manufacturing, Technology, Pharma, Financial Services, Energy, etc.)
- Stable career progression (no frequent job changes every 1–2 years)
