Role Overview

Zensar Technologies seeks a Senior Developer for its WMS team. The role involves working with a legacy C++ system, Oracle database, and reverse engineering. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Win32, CORBA, and Borland/Embarcadero C++Buildert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and reverse engineer existing C++ codebase
  • Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for the WMS
  • Provide application support and troubleshoot production issues
  • Work with databases to understand system logic and data flows in Oracle
  • Assist in system validation for server upgrade (Windows 2016 → 2019)
  • Collaborate with functional and infrastructure teams
  • Ensure knowledge capture for long-term system sustainability

Required Skills:

  • Strong expertise in C++ development and debugging
  • Solid experience with Oracle databases (queries, schema understanding, tuning basics)
  • Experience in reverse engineering legacy applications
  • Ability to create technical documentation from scratch
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required specialist experience
The developer should have practical experience with:
  • Legacy Borland or Embarcadero C++Builder
  • Native Win32 Windows services
  • ACE and TAO CORBA
  • ORB initialization and shutdown
  • Portable Object Adapter configuration
  • CORBA servants and object references
  • IIOP and GIOP
  • CORBA Naming Service or direct IOR-based object resolution
  • Client callbacks and Bidirectional GIOP
  • CORBA threading and concurrency strategies
  • CORBA exception handling
  • Indy HTTP and TCP/IP components
  • XML processing, preferably Expat
  • Static library and runtime-library compatibility
  • Native Windows socket programming
  • Reconstruction of old third-party library builds
  • Database Experience with Oracle
  • Database integration with Borland BDE
