Whitney Oaks Care Center is seeking a dependable and motivatedFull-Time Cook to help provide nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents. Position Summary

The Cook prepares and serves appetizing, nutritious meals in accordance with physician orders, dietary requirements, food safety standards, and facility policies. This role works closely with the Dietary Manager and healthcare team to ensure residents receive quality meals that support their health and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Ensure proper food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain production records.
• Assist with inventory and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and leadership.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living experience preferred.
• Food Handler's Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to resident satisfaction.
