Pay Rate: up to $43.00 per hour
Description of the Controls Software Designer:
Designs and commissions systems of electrical and fluid controls for a variety of applications including welders, robots, assembly, conveyance and transfer systems. Applies knowledge, principles and techniques in engineering and computer science to develop software system programming and documentation. Facilitates build process by troubleshooting connection issues. Commissions and debugs equipment at build shop and/or end user sites.
This is a professional position, requiring resource management skills to direct and monitor tasks of others. Must be capable of making autonomous decisions based on experience and project requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Mechanical Designer:
- Debug and clean up current PLC programs.
- Provide production support for part runs.
- Work with the team to provide solutions for error proofing and improvements.
- Provide feedback regarding progress and roadblocks to management.
- Troubleshoot peripherals and PLC applications when needed.
- Clean up alarms and HMI indicators according to the Ford standard.
- Run the GVOSS compare file to ensure the standard is followed.
- Collaborate with other team members to support them when needed.
- Troubleshoot Rockwell Automation VFD's or Drives
