We are looking for aControl Systems Engineer to join ourResearch & Development team and help develop the next generation of high-efficiency cooling and heat-rejection systems.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combiningsoftware, automation, controls, and real-world equipment to solve challenging engineering problems.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop industrial control strategies usingFunction Block Diagram (FBD) programming.
• Develop and test control software for data center cooling equipment.
• Integrate and test controls on prototype systems in the R&D laboratory.
• Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to define equipment sequences and operating modes.
• Develop and tunePID and cascaded control loops.
• Configure sensors, actuators, variable-speed drives, controllers, and automation hardware.
• Support testing, data collection, and analysis of control-system performance.
• Troubleshoot software, electrical, and system-level control issues.
• Maintain software documentation, version control, and revision history.
• Support the transition of successful R&D solutions into production.
• Contribute to product testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Degree inControl Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience developing software or controls for industrial systems.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, cooling, process control, or industrial automation.
• Strong experience withFunction Block Diagram programming.
• Understanding of control systems, PID tuning, equipment sequencing, and system dynamics.
• Experience with industrial sensors, programmable controllers, and automation hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on with prototype equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with:

• Carel controls
• Automated Logic Controls (ALC)
• Siemens controllers
• BACnet or Modbus
• Data center cooling
• Refrigeration or thermal management
• Prototype development and product validation
• Software version control and structured release processes
