POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Controls Engineer II willdevelop, deploy, and improve Gentex automated manufacturing systems.  

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Provideprofessional, expert-like supportfor new and existing automated systems. 

• Monitor and define areas of improvement within existing automated equipment. 

• Develop PLC programs and software for new and existing equipment. 

• Create electrical and pneumatic schematics. 

• Evaluate and specify hardware and software for automated equipment. 

• Work with other Engineers to standardize automated and programming solutions across similar equipment. 

• Support engineeringteam members in the development of new processes for manufacturing. 

• Educate andtrainproduction support teams during equipment or software launch.  

• Research and developnew solutions for automated equipment. 

• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING 

• 4-yearEngineeringdegree, orcombination of education and equivalent controls engineering experience. 

• At least3 years of experiencedesigning,programming or integrating automated equipment.   

• Experiencewith robotics applications. 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 

WHAT WILL HELP 

• Experience with either AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical  

• Experience with programmable motion systems and robotics 

• The ability to read and troubleshoot electricalschematics 

• Exceptional troubleshooting skills, with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic aptitude
