Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal financial processes for a growing organization. This role offers the opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership while overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, driving process improvements, and supporting the company's long-term financial strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader who can balance tactical execution with strategic business support.What You'll Do
- Oversee accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and reporting deliverables.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts to support business decisions.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Manage and develop a small accounting and finance team, providing mentorship and leadership.
- Evaluate and improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
- Support audit, tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements as needed.
- Leverage financial systems and technology to streamline operations and improve reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and help support the organization's future growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Progressive accounting and financial leadership experience with responsibility for financial reporting and operational accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and accounting best practices.
- Experience managing accounting teams and leading financial operations.
- Ability to balance hands-on accounting responsibilities with strategic business support.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within a complex business environment is preferred.
- CPA designation is a plus but not required.
- Experience with ERP and financial management systems is preferred.
